Welcome to the Yuliya Gorenman’s Piano Studio page.

I am a concert pianist, prize winner of international competitions, university professor and recording artist. I come from a family of musicians and teachers. I am continuing the tradition.

I bring the experience of the concert stage to your lessons.

Children and adults welcome. Lessons are in person in my beautiful studio with two grand pianos and original artwork and online available worldwide.

Teaching philosophy:

I teach the total person, taking into consideration your strengths and weaknesses, your short and long term goals, help with your dreams and aspirations.

Before I take on anybody new there is an interview/audition and after listening to a few pieces/excerpts I assess their level, identify problem areas and to answer any questions. Only if there is mutual chemistry we then go on and pick the repertoire and figure out the schedule.

During the lessons I go in details into understanding of style, genre, historical context of the works we are working on, specific compositional traits of the composers. I teach the student how to practice and work independently and efficiently to get the most results. The student works at their own pace without

unnecessary stress and I help them at each phase of the learning process. I know how to break the most complex concepts into simple steps and from the first lesson the student feels inspired and empowered. My greatest hope is to help the student to fulfill their dreams and live to the brilliance of their potential.
